This has been the only point conspiracists have brought to the table that I could almost buy.
Why on earth would you EVER consider recording over such epically awesome material? Even if you had made backups, the original tapes had value to America as historical documentation. If they had been misplaced, I’d buy that, or stolen – I can see that happening too, but to say you recorded over them just blows the mind and makes you wonder…
