Assuming you could drive a car through space.

You might be able to. The tires wouldn’t work without traction but according to Newton’s third Law (equal and opposite reaction) the cars exhaust would propel it.

Seeing As Though There Is No Matter, Nor Oxygen, In Space, The Car Exhaust Would Simply Disintegrate Into The Depth of Space, Spreading And Breaking Apart Into Molecules And Breaking Down The Atoms. Seeing These Possibilities, If A Car Were To Be In Space, It Would In A 5/7 Chance Harm The Earths Atmosphere. Also,Were Would You Get The Gas To Supply The Car? 150 Is Quite A Roadtrip.

    disperse not disinergrate,

besides the physics of “driving a car” in space being impossible its irrelevant as the fact is pulled out of nowhere anyway.

the speed of light in MPH is approx 670,616,629

going on the fact it takes around 8 minutes from light from the sun to reach earth that makes the distance around 92,955,817.

the fastest production cars we make can reach speeds of around 250 mph, so at that speed you would travel 6000 miles a day (24 hours)

around 312,000 a year. so at that speed non stop it would take around 298 years, not 150.

I know it says that it would take MORE than 150 years. but it is just vaugue nonsense.

the speed you could travel is unknown, no ones ever gone for a sunday drive in space. someone said that the exhaust wouldnt propel the vehicle, it would to a degree, although there is nothing in the vacum for it to push against, it would push against the molecules already leaving the exhaust, ie the exhaust gas would give the exhaust gas something to propel against. how do you think rocket boosters work in space?

so for arguments sake lets say you can drive a car in space and it behaves the same way that it does on earth (which is ridiculous i know) obeying the national speed limit (UK) of 70mph it would take somebody who works at the sun 1064 years to commute.
