When the Robertson family was shipwrecked in the Pacific Ocean, the only water they had was poisonous. The mother gave the others enemas to safely hydrate them with it. The family survived for 37 days before rescue.
In 1904 a Swedish sailor shipwrecked on an island in Papua New Guinea inhabited by cannibalistic tribals. He was carried to their king, who’s daughter fell in love with him. He married the king’s daughter and after his death, became king of the Island.
