Who’s Who in the CIA was a book published in East Berlin during the height of the Cold War, probably by the Stasi. Namebase says of this book “nearly impossible to find. It even has a habit of disappearing from U.S. libraries.”
The world’s first ever telephone directory was published in New haven Connecticut, in February 1878 – less than three years after the invention of the telephone. It had fifty names in it, and was just one page long.
