Marion County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after one of its officers said he suspected someone had taken a bite out of a McChicken sandwich. They concluded that the officer forgot he took a bite of his sandwich.
12-year-old Jessica Maple solved a burglary case after she found clues officers had missed when investigating a robbery at her late great-grandmother’s house. She then tracked missing items to a pawn shop, got the thieves’ picture IDs from the manager, and confronted the burglars herself.
In investigating prostitution at a Seattle strip club, an undercover cop visited the club 160 times, spent at least $16,835 of taxpayer money on 130 lap dances and an undetermined number of undocumented dances, and never made a single arrest.
